Product Functions & Effects

mainly through contact killing, spores penetrate insect body wall, invade insect body, proliferate, destroy its tissues &

kill target pests; improve soil fertility, reduce application quantities of chemical pesticides, improve qualities of

agricultural products, reduce environmental pollution, can colonize in host bodies & promote growths of host plants.

Application Scope

Beauveria bassiana can broadly biocontrol about 60 pests (injurious insects) in forest, vegetables, dry land crops, tea,

nurseries & lawns, such as pine caterpillars, corn borers, grubs, blind stink bugs, thrips, scale insects, whiteflies, red

spiders, aphids, cabbage caterpillars, cabbage moths, fragrant-flowered garlic maggots, cydia pomonella, peach fruit

moths, tea leafhopper, smaller apple leaf rollers, tea caterpillars, rape inchworms, rape weevils, beet weevils, sweet

potato weevils, soybean pod borers, nephotettix cincticeps, plant hoppers, cnaphalocrocis medinalis (rice leaf rollers),

yellow rice borers, bollworms, boll weevils, pseudatomoscelis seriatus (cotton leaf   bugs), armyworms, cutworms,

calandra, locusts, termites, houseflies, blattaria, grasshoppers, crickets, long-horned beetles, sugarcane may beetles,

spodoptera litura & other pests, and promote growths of various plants.

Application Method

take 2X10⁹ cfu/g Beauveria bassiana for example,1. fog spray: 7.5Kg microbial powder/ha. to prepare suitable

microbial liquid concentration, add 0.01-0.05% detergent powder as tackifier (preferably use ZengLiaoDe^® to add

viscosity & effect), evenly spray the microbial solution on insect bodies, branches & leaves; 2. powder spray: get 7.5

-15Kg microbial powder/ha. & the carrier evenly mixed into appropriate powder concentration, powder spraying effect

is often lower than fog spray; 3. soil treatment: Sowing & intertill, each time according to 1:9 evenly mix & apply 45Kg

microbial powder + 405Kg fine soil = 450Kg microbial soil/ha. within 10 cm topsoil; 4. Biocontrol forest pests: spray on

the ground or aircraft, or spray live larvae with primary microbial powder (technical microbial powder) or dip live

insects with 0.5X10⁹ spores/mL microbial solution in rainy season, then put them back onto trees to crawl to cause

Beauveria bassiana disease epidemic to forest pests; 5. also for drip irrigation. IT IS FORBIDDEN TO USE IN

SILKWORM AREA. it should be applied in advance when pest density is low, mostly in the peak hatching period, and

in the early stage of the third instar Dendrolimus punctatus larvae; it should be applied at 15-30 ^oC, relative humidity 80

-100% & soil moisture content 5% min.; it should not be used for microbial liquid expansion, immediately prepare for

immediate use to prevent premature spore germination & reduce the infectivity; it can be used together with other

microbial formulations or low-dose chemical insecticides (2.5% Trichlorfon, 25% Parathion, 48% Chlorpyrifos, etc.) for

better effects.
